The CASA 2.111 was a Spanish built and operated bomber based on the Heinkel He 111P.

Following the Nationalist victory against the Republicans in the Spanish civil War, the Spanish High Command drew up plans to develop a new Spanish Air Force and aircraft industry. This led to the semi state owned CASA company being awarded a contract for 200 Heinkel He 111P bombers in September 1941. To speed up production, CASA received permission to import selected sub assemblies from Heinkel, which allowed the CASA factory at Tablada to start tooling up in early 1942, despite delays caused by a lack of parts being delivered from Germany.[1]
